About Chris Wehan

Founder of CoCreate SC | Mental Performance Coach | Former Professional Soccer Player

I spent over seven years playing professional soccer, including time in MLS with the San Jose Earthquakes and several standout seasons in USL Championship, where I earned honors like USL Rookie of the Year, First Team All-League, and led my teams in goals and assists.
Before that, I played Division I soccer at the University of New Mexico, where I helped my team compete at the highest collegiate level.

On paper, I achieved what many athletes dream of. But behind the scenes, the mental and emotional challenges of elite sport were often overwhelming.

As a player, I battled with anger, unregulated emotions, and later addiction that I hid behind my on-field success. The pressure to perform, the fear of failure, and the isolation that can come with chasing a dream at the highest level took a toll.

There were times I lost my love for the game, and I didn’t feel like I had anyone I could open up to — no one who truly understood what I was going through.

That’s why I founded CoCreate SC.

My mission is to help athletes train their minds the same way they train their bodies — with purpose, discipline, and support.
I work with athletes who want to build confidence, navigate the pressure of performance, bounce back from setbacks, and stay connected to the joy that made them fall in love with their sport in the first place.

Through mental performance coaching, I aim to be the guide I wish I had:
someone who listens, understands, and helps you grow — not just as an athlete, but as a person.

My Coaching Focus

  • Building lasting confidence that goes beyond your last performance

  • Teaching mental tools to handle pressure, setbacks, and uncertainty

  • Creating a safe space where athletes can speak honestly and grow

  • Supporting athletes in developing habits that serve them on and off the field

Let’s work together to strengthen your mental game and help you thrive in sport — and in life.
